Ingredients for Politiki cabbage salad
4 portions
- Half a cabbage
- 4 big carrots
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 big pepper (plant) “florinis” style
- ½ bunch of parsley
- Salt-pepper
- Olive oil
- Vinegar
Method for Politiki cabbage salad
Remove the rotten leaves of the cabbage. Wash the pepper, plant very well, remove the seeds and cut it in small cubes.
Hull the carrots, the garlic and wash the parsley.
In a deep basin finely chop the cabbage (on a chopping board or with a special equipment for cutting vegetables), grind the carrots and the garlic with a grinder, finely chop the parsley, add the pepper plant and the vinegar and season with salt and pepper.
Stir well until the ingredients are homogenized.
Place our salad in a salad bowl and leave it in the fridge for about 1 hour. When we are ready, we serve our salad adding some olive oil.
“The Politiki Cabbage Salad can be preserved in the fridge for about 3 to 4 days. The more it stays preserved in the fridge, the more marinated it becomes, hence more delicious.
We always add the olive oil just before we serve the salad, because the olive oil tends to freeze in the fridge”
