Ingredients for Pasta with tomato sauce:
- 500 g of pasta of your choice
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 4 large ripe tomatoes, grated (or 1 can of homemade-style tomato sauce)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- Fresh basil or parsley (optional)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta:
- Boil the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- After the pasta is cooked, drain it with cold water, then pour it back into the same pot, mix with a little olive oil to prevent it from sticking, and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce:
- In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onion and sauté until softened and golden.
- Add the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the grated tomatoes (or the homemade-style tomato sauce).
