Pasta with tomato sauce, onion, and garlic (Vegan)

Vegan pasta with tomato sauce, onion, and garlic is simple yet delicious. Made with freshly grated tomatoes and sautéed onion and garlic, it’s a flavorful, perfect for a quick dinner. This dish is both easy to make and full of natural goodness.

Ingredients for Pasta with tomato sauce:

  • 500 g of pasta of your choice
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 4 large ripe tomatoes, grated (or 1 can of homemade-style tomato sauce)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Fresh basil or parsley (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:

    • Boil the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
    • After the pasta is cooked, drain it with cold water, then pour it back into the same pot, mix with a little olive oil to prevent it from sticking, and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
    • Add the sliced onion and sauté until softened and golden.
    • Add the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
    • Pour in the grated tomatoes (or the homemade-style tomato sauce).
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste and let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes until it thickens.
  3. Serving:

    • Toss the pasta with the sauce or serve the sauce on top of the pasta.
    • Optionally, garnish with fresh basil or parsley for extra flavor.
